Kathy Hochul’s latest bill would make it a crime to buy a .50 cal hunting rifle, and all .50 cals in circulation need to be registered with the State Police! This is asinine; S-04277 violates the Second Amendment and criminals don’t use these guns anyway.
But that’s not the point. You see, this bill isn’t about .50 cal rifles.
This legislation is a placeholder. If Hochul can force us to obtain her permission to own one caliber of rifle, she can do the same thing to other calibers…and she will!
And no, this isn’t a file and forget bill. This bill is moving in Albany!
