Aaron Dorr is a veteran political activist with nearly twenty years of experience fighting for the Second Amendment in state legislatures across Missouri, Iowa, New York, Georgia, Wyoming, Indiana, Illinois, and Washington State.
He has led successful legislative fights for Constitutional Carry, Stand-Your-Ground law, the Second Amendment Preservation Act, and bans on Red Flag laws. His efforts have helped pass pro-gun laws, stop radical gun control, and remove nearly 100 anti-gun incumbents from office.
In New York State, Aaron Dorr leads the NYS Firearms Association’s legislative and legal strategies, including the case NYS Firearms Association v. Steven James. Under his leadership, the organization has blocked legislation that would force gun owners to undergo mental health exams, purchase civil liability insurance, and comply with other unconstitutional mandates. His election efforts also helped break the Democrats’ Senate supermajority in 2024.
In addition to his gun rights work, Dorr has led legal strategies challenging unconstitutional 1st Amendment laws as well, including the landmark case Wyoming Gun Owners v. Gray.
