Crime is out of control in New York State because criminals don’t fear courts and judges, and because many gun owners are disarmed thanks to our gun control laws. But instead of punishing criminals, Kathy Hochul wants to punish and disarm law abiding gun owners.
Legislation moving in Albany would require every gun owner in the state to possess civil liability insurance as a condition of buying a firearm!
And since New York State won’t allow this kind of insurance to be sold here, this legislation is a defacto gun ban on every law-abiding gun owner…making it that much easier for violent thugs to rob, rape, and murder innocent people.
Sure, this is a violation of the Second Amendment and last year’s Bruen decision. Could we get this overturned in court? Maybe, years from now, after countless New Yorkers have paid the price in blood.
