Waiting periods are well known to get innocent people murdered by violent predators who ignore gun control laws. If anything, criminals love it when tyrants like Hochul ram these laws into effect!
Despite that, Hochul’s Senate allies are moving ahead on S. 362, which would:
1. Mandate a 10-day hold on all firearms sales, even if you pass your NICS check on site!
2. Deny the sale completely in the event of an indefinite NICS delay!
3. Leave innocent New Yorkers, women especially, vulnerable!
The truth is that if this bill passes and leads to New York women being sexually assaulted or murdered, that’s a price Hochul is willing to have them pay.
This bill is being heard in committee and could hit the Senate floor soon.
