Kathy Hochul is going to answer to God for this someday.
But in the meantime, it’s critical that she and her allies in Albany answer to law abiding gun owners for the two bills they are pushing right now.
I need you to fire off this pre-written email immediately, telling your State Senator and Assemblyman to vote no on S-159/AB-127 AND S-454/AB-514!
Keep reading for details.
These two bills would shake the ground here in New York and unleash wave after wave of criminals on law abiding citizens.
Think I’m exaggerating? I wish.
S-159/AB-127 REQUIRES the state parole board to release violent criminals unless there is an ‘unreasonable risk’ they’ll reoffend. The board is forced to ignore the criminal’s crimes and instead focus on his ‘current risk factors.’
So a child r@pist wouldn’t be able to be held in prison for his crimes, if he’s able to talk a good game in prison!
(These bills have 31 cosponsors in the Senate, 70 in the Assembly, and are in the Codes Committee.)

S-454/AB-514 all-but forces the parole board to release criminals over age 55 if they’ve served 15 years of their sentence — regardless of what they were convicted of!
If the parole board doesn’t release them, they are required to reexamine the cases every two years until they do release them!
Cop killers. Mass murderers. Violent sexual predators. They are all covered by this bill.
(These bills have 32 cosponsors in the Senate, 71 in the Assembly, and are in the Crime Victims Committee.)

Many estimate passage of these laws would put 1,000 convicted murderers and 600 convicted rapists back on our streets…
…and that’s on top of our already skyrocketing crime rates! Murder is up 20% since 2019. Aggravated assault is up 40% since Covid.
And Kathy Hochul is making it worse. She fired 2,000 corrections officers for striking over unsafe conditions, then banned them from state jobs.
When sheriffs begged to hire them to fix jail staffing, Hochul said no, forcing early inmate releases. She’s set to lift the ban on April 9 after lawsuits, but the damage is done.
But it could get a whole lot worse if these two bills pass! The NYS Firearms Association is fighting back. We’re in the gutter, battling to crush these bills with calls, emails, and petitions.
We’re not some white-collar think tank — we fight like hell for your rights.
