You can’t make this up.
A Brooklyn judge just handed a gang member — who tried to kill someone in a drive-by shooting — a slap on the wrist.
👉 This thug, Jhdae Beckles, was charged with attempted murder
👉 Prosecutors wanted 6 years behind bars, could have gotten 25
👉 Instead, Judge Jeffrey Gershuny gave him youthful offender status, meaning he’ll serve as little as 1.5 years in prison
This is New York State justice in 2025:
- Violent predators get second chances.
- Law-abiding gun owners get punished.
Every judge in this state is cut from the same cloth — more worried about “compassion” for violent criminals than about protecting innocent New Yorkers.

And while these gangbangers are running free, Kathy Hochul is hell bent on disarming us.
Next session in Albany, gun owners will be staring down bills like:
👉 Civil Liability Insurance Mandate — you’ll be forced to buy an insurance policy just to own a firearm.
👉 Ammo Purchase Limits — bureaucrats deciding how many rounds we can buy in a month.
👉 Expanded Waiting Periods — making us wait up to 10 days or longer before we can take home a firearm.
👉 .50 Caliber Ban & Registration — banning and tracking certain rifles that have never been used in crimes here.
👉 Higher Taxes on Guns and Ammo — making us pay more for our rights while criminals laugh.
Criminals are given mercy. We’re given mandates, taxes, bans, and handcuffs.
That’s why we need to fight back now.
The NYSFA is preparing for the biggest fight we’ve seen in Albany in years. We’re exposing Hochul’s radical agenda, fighting in court, and organizing gun owners statewide to hold weak politicians accountable in the next election cycle.
But to do it, we need your immediate support.
Please renew or upgrade your membership today — and if you can, make a special contribution of $25, $50, $100 or more so we can fight back against Hochul’s war on gun owners.
Together, we can stop these attacks and make sure violent criminals are punished — not protected — in New York.
