Bad news out of Albany: Kathy Hochul snuck her Glock Ban into the budget, and it’s been signed into law.

And now we know exactly how she got it done.

Instead of forcing politicians to openly vote on this one bill, Hochul buried the Glock Ban inside the largest state budget in New York history.

That’s not a theory. It’s exactly what Hochul did.

Even traditional media is calling Hochul out for using New York’s bloated budget process to jam controversial policies through Albany.

That should piss you off.

Hochul knew that if she put this bill on the floor it might not make it. Afterall, NYSFA members have been sending hundreds of thousands of emails into the legislature. 

Instead, she used a massive must-pass budget package to force it through Albany while lawmakers scrambled to process an over 2,500 page budget, the topped out at 268.5 billion dollars. 

That’s how corrupt Albany works.

Backroom deals.
Middle-of-the-night negotiations.
Policy crammed into budget packages.

And buried gun control provisions designed to avoid maximum public scrutiny. The truth is simple: Kathy Hochul despises an armed population here in New York.

And she is willing to use every procedural trick available to force gun control onto millions of law abiding New Yorkers.

(The Glock Ban was hidden inside of the stack of books, which contains the fiscal 2027 budget.)

That’s why the next five days of session are so dangerous.

Because if Hochul and anti-gun Democrats were willing to use the state budget process to force through a Glock Ban, there is no telling what they may try to ram through before Albany adjourns.

That’s exactly why New York gun owners cannot tune out.
