Don’t Let Gun Grabbers Shut Down the NYSFA!

“Don’t you understand? If you go after Cuomo as hard as you have been lately, you’re all but certain to be attacked through a bogus ethics complaint or phony civil suit!”

That’s what one Capitol insider told me recently, as he warned me that fighting for the Second Amendment in New York State is a great way to get in trouble with Governor Cuomo.

I wish I could say that I was surprised.

Sadly, this has become par for the course in our great state. Whenever the Governor or one of his pals gets angry at a political organization who is holding them accountable in Albany, they do everything they can to silence them!

And that’s why I am writing you today, to ask you to fill out the three-question New York State Firearms Association Member Ballot for your review.

Will you please fill it out RIGHT AWAY? More on that below.

When I first launched the New York State Firearms Association, I never believed that things like this could happen in America, even amongst political enemies.

But if the last two years have taught us anything, it’s that the left will use bogus allegations, fake news, fabricated dossiers, and politically driven ‘special prosecutors’ in their attempt to try to destroy President Trump.

And that is doubly true here in New York State.

So I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that our political opponents here are willing to do the exact same thing to an organization that is willing to go toe to toe with Governor Cuomo!

You see, it doesn’t matter that the New York State Firearms Association plays by the rules.  It doesn’t matter that we don’t break laws (or even bend them) like so many other organizations.

More often than not, groups like ours are attacked as retribution just for being effective, and for daring to stand up and FIGHT BACK against out of control statists in Albany!

But if we aren’t prepared for these attacks, the New York State Firearms Association may be forced to spend critical time and money defending against these ridiculous attacks –- instead of using that time to mobilize as many gun owners as possible against the gun control freight train in Albany.

Honestly, I believe that is the intended goal of these bogus ‘charges’ in the first place, to simply keep us distracted from our primary goal of battling against gun control.

But as it stands right now, I do not have the funds to fight back against the gun-grabbers’ legal assaults — AND prepare for the gun control battle that I know we’ll be facing next year — at the same time.

So please cast your vote today, telling me where to focus our resources for the rest of the year

The New York State Firearms Association and will be a sitting duck unless I can fix this problem — FAST.

And let me tell you, there are a lot of nasty gun-control bills coming at us next session, just some of which includes:

>>>  A-01724; from Assemblywoman Simon, which would
make it
a FELONY to buy more than 20 rounds of
ammo at a time for certain firearms
.

This legislation would effectively end your ability to buy .223 ammunition, making rifles in this caliber little more than paper weights.

>>>  SB-1413; from Senator Parker, which would force you
to
surrender your social media log-in credentials and
three years of your Google search engine history before
obtaining a permit to buy a handgun
.

State officials would then have months to look at your online history, to look for ‘offensive’ or ‘hateful’ speech. If you’ve posted more than three offensive posts, you’ll lose your gun rights and be denied a permit!

>>>  A-01007; from Assemblywoman L. Rosenthal, which
would
end the school shooting programs that are in
operation in over 75 school districts across the state
.

These popular shooting programs teach countless New York children how to safely handle firearms; Cuomo’s allies are hoping to permanently sever the tie between us and the next generation of gun owners with this bill.

I’m sure you can see why Governor Cuomo and his crazed allies would prefer that New York State’s only ‘No Compromise’ gun rights organization be ensnared in a costly and lengthy bogus ethics charge or similar situation.

The last thing they want is for a rapidly growing grassroots army of gun owners to stand together and hammer away at their agenda next session — and their weakest caucus members during the 2020 election cycle!

And that’s EXACTLY what we are working towards here at the New York State Firearms Association.

We are trying to build the largest Facebook mobilization tool in New York State political history, to expose Cuomo’s agenda and give gun owners the ammo they need to take action!

We are trying to build the largest email list of gun owners in New York State political history, so that we can put pressure on lawmakers in targeted districts.

And we are working to rapidly grow our network of activists and volunteers across New York State’s sixty-two counties, to help us with ground operations during the 2020 elections.

Until just a few days ago, my hope was to focus all of our remaining 2019 resources on getting ready for the battle that is coming next session — preparing to mobilize as many gun owners as possible using mail, email, social media and more!

But I’m afraid, as it stands right now, I won’t be able to afford to stave off a bogus legal/ethic charges AND still run the programs that I laid out for you above.

Please tell us where you want us to focus, before this attack hits our door!

I know we’ve done nothing wrong.

But given how many times gun-grabbers have tried to muzzle groups like ours, we can’t just sit back and hope for the best. We simply must prepare for the worst.

So I need you to tell me what to do:

OPTION #1: Should I ignore the legal threats, hope nothing bad happens, and go all-in in preparing for the fights we know are coming in the 2020 legislative session?

OPTION #2Should I just give in to the threats that will likely come from these gun-grabbers, forget trying to grow a massive grassroots army of gun owners, and put all my focus onto these frivolous legal threats?

OPTION #3Or should I FIGHT BACK ON ALL FRONTS, preparing for a bogus legal attack while also preparing to fight Cuomo’s radicals in Albany next year?

I know what I want to do. But I don’t have millions of dollars sitting around in the bank like BILLIONAIRE Michael Bloomberg and his pals do.

This organization is run on a shoestring budget.

OPTION #3 just really isn’t an “option” without a massive and IMMEDIATE influx of funds from the members and supporters of the New York State Firearms Association.

So if this is the option you choose, won’t you please agree to your most generous contribution of $100 TODAY?

I know that’s asking a lot, but the stakes couldn’t be higher, and doing nothing is just not an option.

I don’t know about you, but the idea of letting Governor Cuomo and his allies get away with attacking our gun rights next session, without fighting back with everything we have, is simply not an option for me.

Some people say that New York State is gone, and that we should all just move away.

But I don’t believe that, not for a second! I meet wonderful people every single day, patriots, who care deeply about our flag, our nation, and this great state!

In many ways, freedom in this great country got it’s start right here in New York State, as over one-third of our nation’s Revolutionary War battles were fought right here!

So we simply can’t give up, our children and grandchildren deserve better than that.

And that’s why I’m counting on you to continue standing with me, as we fight to defend our gun rights, and to attack those lawmakers who oppose us at election time.

So if $100 is just too much, won’t you please agree to $50 or at least $25 right away?

This legal attack could land on my doorstep at any moment, and I really need your input right away, so please complete your New York State Firearms Association Member Ballot IMMEDIATELY.

For Freedom,

Thomas Gowen
Chairman
New York State Firearms Association

P.S. Any day now, I expect the New York State Firearms Association to come under legal attack — as it has become a standard tactic in the gun-grabbers playbook across the country.

Their goal is to force us to spend our time and resources in defending against these attacks, so that we can’t focus on mobilizing gun owners in advance of the 2020 session!

So please complete your NYSFA Member Ballot, telling me where to focus our resources.

While you’re at it, please include a generous donation of $100, $50, or at least $25 to help us FIGHT for the Second Amendment in New York State!
