Over the last year, hundreds of thousands of gun owners in New York State have received their pistol permits in direct response to the epidemic of violent crime that has enveloped New York State!
And second only to the criminals that are committing these heinous acts of violence, the blame for this explosion of violence can be laid squarely at Andrew Cuomo’s feet.
Afterall, it was Cuomo who signed the disastrous ‘Bail Reform Law’ into law two years ago, that has allowed tens of thousands of violent criminals to be processed and released with no bail requirement.
It was Cuomo who ordered thousands of these hyper-violent criminals to be turned loose into our communities last year, part of his mismanagement of the Covid-19 situation.
And it was Cuomo and the rest of the left that has done everything they can to ‘defund the police,’ leading to a massive shortage of police officers in departments across the state.
But after playing a direct role in creating the current situation that New Yorkers are living through, Andrew Cuomo and his radical friends are furious that so many gun owners have taken steps to obtain a pistol permit.
And that’s why they are pushing legislation that would END your ability to carry a handgun here in New York State.
Assemblyman Nick Perry’s A-581 would require gun owners to have proof of personal liability insurance before we could be issued a pistol permit!

You and I both know that it would be quite impossible to obtain this kind of insurance here in New York State under normal conditions.
But after Cuomo attacked every organization in America that sold self-defense insurance — calling it murder insurance — it is now literally impossible to obtain the kind of coverage that A-581 would mandate.
Of course, the entire thing is 100% unconstitutional and a complete slap in the face of law abiding gun owners here in New York!
Did Cuomo’s administration require the ANTIFA and BLM rioters who burned, rioted, and shot their way across New York State last summer to have liability insurance?
Or how about the convicted felons that he let pour into the streets of New York State during Covid, did he require that they be bonded or insured before they were loosed on innocent New Yorkers?
Of course not.
This is just another attempt to attack law abiding gun owners, while trying to deflect blame for the massive increase in violent crime that has rocked New York!
Anyone who has ever been in the Capitol or the Legislative Office Building (LOB) knows that these politicians are surrounded by State Troopers every single day they are in Albany. Now they want to ensure that you and I are left defenseless

While it’s true that Cuomo’s America-hating leftists control the legislature, we’ve seen time and time again that they are hesitant to pass this kind of gun control without the support of at least a few back-stabbing Republicans.
They are desperately wanting to point to ‘bi-partisan support’ as their moral authority for passing these bills.
So if we can generate enough grassroots opposition to this bill, we may be able to hold the line and defeat it!
