As we expected, the fight to fill the open seat on the United States Supreme Court is going to move very, very quickly.
President Trump just announced that he will be naming the nominee — a woman — Friday or Saturday of this week!
While nothing is for certain, President Trump is expected to try to fill the court’s open seat before election day, as is his prerogative under the Constitution.
But that’s going to be very difficult if moderate Republicans continue to side with the radical leftists and oppose any vote until we know the outcome of the November 3rd election!
The outcome of this fight will have massive implications for our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms, and that’s why Senator Schumer and Gillibrand are doing everything they can to stall this process.
But they aren’t doing it alone.
Republican Senators Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski have both announced their refusal to vote on a Supreme Court nominee until they see if President Trump wins his re-election bid.
That’s because Senators Collins and Murkowski are aggressive gun-grabbers who have backed everything from the ATF’s ban on bump stocks to a national gun registry and even a ban on our AR-15’s!
And they know that if the Supreme Court gets another pro-gun nominee — especially a strict originalist — it will make it harder for them to crack down on our Second Amendment freedoms!
You see, insiders report that other Republican moderates are testing the waters right now and may join Senators Collins and Murkowski along with the radical left, in opposing any vote on a nominee until the results of the presidential election have come in!
Remember, it’s the President’s job under the Constitution to make nominations to the Supreme Court and it’s the Senate’s job to hold votes on these nominees.
So tell Senators Schumer and Gillibrand to do their job, and schedule hearings and a vote on President Trump’s nominee as soon as possible!
