Some of the biggest enemies to freedom and the Second Amendment in the entire country are coming after the NYS Firearms Association — and they won’t rest until they have shut us down for good.
No, this isn’t a joke.
Our nation is in incredible turmoil right now as Antifa thugs are rioting in our streets, burning down our businesses, and killing cops all over the country.
Across New York we’ve seen violent looting, police being shot at in broad daylight, and out of control mobs that have burned businesses to the ground — and extortion attempts by protesters demanding political changes while threatening violence.
ANYONE who stands up to this lawlessness is labeled a racist! ANYONE who stands up for law and order is attacked! ANYONE who stands up for police officers is deemed a fascist!
But here at the NYS Firearms Association, we’ve never wavered in our support of the Second Amendment and for the values that have made this country — and our beautiful state — a shining light to the entire world.
And for standing up against these thugs, I have received over a dozen death threats as well as threats against my family that are too graphic to describe here.
Honestly, I’ve grown somewhat used to this after fighting for gun owners for the last twelve years in multiple states.
But now the Southern Poverty Law Center is gunning for the NYS Firearms Association, claiming that the work we do for gun owners is hateful, and they are doing everything they can to get the IRS to shut our doors forever!
Of course, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is a scandal-ridden cest pool who recently fired their founder as well as their board chairman for sexually harassing their own staff members, as well as stashing millions of dollars in an overseas bank account!
But that’s not stopping the SPLC from attacking the NYS Firearms Association, urging the IRS to yank our non-for profit status which would effectively shut us down, just weeks before the 2020 General Election season is set to go into high gear!
And that’s why I’m writing you today.
You see, everything is on the line here in New York State this fall. While the presidential election is capturing most of the news, we can’t forget that Governor Cuomo is hoping to increase his grip on power in the State Senate.
He’s only had control of this chamber for two years, but if he increases the number of America-hating socialists in that chamber, our gun rights will come under non-stop attack forever!
There’s so much that we must do to expose radical gun grabbers in these races; the very last thing we have time (or money) for right now is a trumped-up legal threat from the IRS at the behest of the Southern Poverty Law Center!
Things like this shouldn’t happen in America.
But if the last few years have taught us anything, it’s that the left will use bogus allegations, manufactured dossiers, and politically driven ‘special prosecutors’ in their attempt to try to destroy President Trump and anyone else who stands up for freedom.
So I guess we should not be that surprised that our political opponents are doing the exact same thing to the NYS Firearms Association, too!
Sadly, it doesn’t matter that we play by the rules. It doesn’t matter that we don’t break laws (or even bend them) like so many leftist organizations do.
The only reason that we’re being attacked by the SPLC is because we are proud to fight for the Second Amendment and we are ruthlessly effective at exposing radical socialists at election time — they simply must destroy us.
That’s why, as you’ll see, I’ve prepared a brief three-question New York State Firearms Association Members’ Ballot for your review.

This is a member driven organization, it always has been, and that is why I’m counting on receiving your advice right away.
As it stands right now, I do not have the funds to expose the radical socialists who are trying to destroy our Second Amendment during the fall elections while also preparing for an expensive legal attack on our organization at the same time.
In other words, the NYSFA will be a sitting duck if a SPLC-initiated accusation turns into a full-fledged IRS investigation.
Sure, we’ve done nothing wrong. But that doesn’t matter, because even when we win these bogus fights, the cost in time and money are extremely expensive.
Honestly, I think that is the goal of these attacks in the first place. To force us to spend precious time and money fighting to defend ourselves — rather than fighting to expose radical gun-grabbers in Albany!
The SPLC, Bloomberg’s forces, and radical socialists in the Capitol know that the NYS Firearms Association (backed by tens of thousands of New Yorkers) is the one thing standing between them and their ultimate goal of disarming every single gun owner in the state!
And if they can force us to close our doors, they will be free to take a sledgehammer to our most cherished freedoms without having to worry about paying a price at election time!
I’ve never, ever believed that’s the way politics should work — not for a second. I still believe politicians work for us, not the other way around. That’s why I am so happy to work for the NYS Firearms Association in the first place!
Without organizations like this one out there to expose Cuomo’s crazed allies, I shudder to think how many MORE of our freedoms would have already been tossed by the wayside.
That’s why they want to shut us up so badly ahead of the 2020 General Election — so we can’t expose their radical gun control agenda!
Just a few of the races where the NYS Firearms Association needs to expose gun grabbers using our email program, targeted social media, and radio and internet ads include:
>>> Senate District 42; Senator Jen Metzger won this seat in 2018 with just 51.8% of the vote, in a district that President Trump won in 2016. Metzger voted for ‘Red Flag Gun Seizures’ in her first year in office, backing all of Cuomo’s gun control agenda. Metzger’s seat is the most vulnerable seat that the gun-grabbers control in Albany!
>>> Senate District 22; Senator Andrew Gounardes has held this seat for two years, only capturing 51% of the vote in 2018. But in those two years, he voted to make you a criminal for having a firearm by your bed at night as well as Cuomo’s ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ laws!
>>> Senate District 6; Senator Kevin Thomas took this seat recently by a mere 50.8%, and is terrified that gun owners are going to find out that he voted to criminalize self-defense in your own home with last year’s safe storage laws, and that he supported Cuomo’s ‘Red Flag’ law which allows your guns to be seized before you’ve been convicted of a crime!
Of course, we haven’t even talked about the Congressional races where NYSFA needs to be active in exposing the records of anti-gun radicals!
That’s why our 2020 election program is so vitally important!
In fact, until just a few days ago, my hope was to run a massive program throughout October — using mail, email, digital ads, and even hard-hitting radio and TV ads if I could raise the money to pay for them.
But I’m afraid, as it stands right now, I won’t be able to afford to deal with a legal challenge to the New York State Firearms Associations’ non-profit status AND still fund our election programs at the same time.
I know we’ve done nothing wrong. But neither did President Trump when he ran for office in 2016. That doesn’t matter. Today’s insane leftists want to DESTROY anyone who stands against their hate-American agenda and they’ll do anything to accomplish their goal. So we simply must prepare for the worst.
That’s why I need you to tell me what to do:
OPTION #1: Should I ignore the attack from the South Poverty Law Center, hope the IRS doesn’t try to close our doors forever, and go all-in with a full-scale program to expose anti-gun candidates this fall?
OPTION #2: Should I just give in to the pressure and cancel our election program, play it safe, and focus exclusively on getting ready to defend the NYSFA from these spurious legal attacks?
OPTION #3: Or should I FIGHT BACK on all fronts and keep the NYSFA’s legal and 2020 election program running at full blast?
I know what I want to do. But I don’t have millions of dollars sitting around in the bank like BILLIONAIRE Michael Bloomberg and his pals do.
The NYS Firearms Association has always run on a shoestring budget, and that’s especially true with so many New Yorkers recovering from the Covid-19 debacle.
OPTION #3 just really isn’t an “option” without a massive and IMMEDIATE influx of funds from our members and supporters.
I know that’s asking a lot, but the stakes couldn’t be higher and doing nothing is just not an option.
I don’t know about you, but the idea that a scandal-ridden ultra-leftist organization can simply accuse the NYS Firearms Association of being an evil organization and expect us to shut down makes my blood boil!
They are the ones who hate freedom! They are the ones who hate our President! They are the ones who want to silence the voice of Second Amendment supporters everywhere!
And I’ll be damned if I’m going to stand by and do nothing while hordes of raging socialists in Washington and our own State Capitol (being backed up by violent Antifa thugs who are burning their way across this country) try to strip us of our precious Second Amendment freedoms!
So if $100 is just too much, won’t you please agree to $75, $50, or at least $25 right away?
The election season will be in full swing shortly, and the attacks on our gun rights are only going to heat up, so I need to hear from you right away.
